The Catholic Faith/Morality

This course is designed to teach the basic principles of the catholic faith. This includes but is not limited to general doctrine information, the Trinity, Mary and Saints, and liturgy and sacraments. Each of these topics will be discussed with a heavy reference to the Catechism of the Church. the class will focus on essential knowledge as well as application of learned information. All course topics and focus comes from the National Catholic Bishops push for the focus of the teenager.

This course focuses mainly on developing writing and grammar skills. Concentration is based in the areas of composition, vocabulary building, spelling, mechanics, and punctuation with emphasis on paragraph and essay writing. Some research will be required and literature study is used to maintain and improve students' reading comprehension skills, critical thinking skills, and to provide topics for student writings.
