Problems with Software Compatibility

If your student is unable to access files from their flash drives to work on at school, there is probably a software compatible issue between your home computer and our Mac computers. Read here for information about a Mac compatible free software download...

Microsoft Works programs are not compatible with our new Mac-campus systems. If you have Microsoft Works as the primary document or spreadsheet composer on your computer ICCS teachers will not be able to access the files your students submit to them for homework, nor will your student be able to access the files they save on the flash drives to work on at school. There is a FREE downloadable program that will provide Mac compatible programs for documents or spreadsheet composing (PowerPoint-compatible programs too). Visit http://www.OpenOffice.org for more information or to download the free program. One important note regarding the Open Office programs, the student must make sure they "Save As" a compatible program: Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), PowerPoint (.ppt).
