Folder Artsonia

Folder Art 1
Art 1 is designed to teach students to apply the elements of art and principles of design to the creative process. Art I students are expected to use a variety of media, techniques, processes, and tools to compose original works of art that demonstrate understanding of the elements of art and principles of design, awareness of aesthetic concerns, and the ability to communicate ideas through artwork. Students will critique and reflect on their artwork and the art of others. Students will exhibit artwork and will assemble portfolios that demonstrate successful completion of Art I student learning expectations.
Folder Advanced Art
Advanced Art is a challenging art course intended to help students reach a higher level of individual expression and skill. Class time will be used to explore a variety of artistic approaches, and to develop a portfolio of work. Students will expand their knowledge of art history and current art trends, and will also critique their own and others’ work. Students are encouraged to experiment, take risks, make mistakes, practice, and refine their skills.
