The Our Gang Comedies (aka "Little Rascals")
Fondly remembered by older Americans and still enjoyed by American children, these sentimental films had an anarchy about them that edged close to violating the motion picture code. One of the earliest examples of full racial equality in the movies, the comedies showed children merrily flouting authority and ruling their own world.
